Jewelry Care
- Jewelry tarnishes faster when it is kept for a long time in drawers. So wear your jewelry often.
- Store jewelry in a dry and cool place, away from sunlight and moisture. Place a piece of chalk or a container of silica gel in the storage area to avoid tarnishing.
- Clean jewelry regularly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove any dirt or oils from the surface.
- Dry the jewelry thoroughly after cleaning, using a soft cloth or towel.
- Avoid exposing jewelry to harsh chemicals such as perfumes or hairsprays, antiseptics, detergents and household chemicals as they can cause discoloration or damage to the metal.
- Remove jewelry before swimming in chlorinated or salt water and before showering.
Attention! Gold-plated and plated jewelry is more resistant to tarnishing, but will not last forever. For this reason, it is especially important to care for your jewelry according to the above instructions.
Special care instructions for Macramé jewelry
- The pearls, corals and other semi-precious stones such as hematite and black onyx that adorn your Macramé jewelry are vulnerable to harsh chemicals and extreme humidity conditions.
- To clean the pearls and other semi-precious stones that adorn your jewelry, use a soft, lint-free cloth, dry or dampened with soapy water (a light dish soap is preferred) and wipe gently. Then let them air dry before wearing or storing them.
Attention! Do not use abrasive cleaners and do not rub your jewelry with an abrasive polishing cloth. Both can wear away the coating of the mother of pearl, leaving you with a dull bead.
